Chinese New Year is the season where everyone pampers themselves with good food, visit one relative’s house after another, staying up late with friends or family members to chit chat or for a late-night mah-jong session. However, these activities are unnoticeably affecting your body health as these activities are most probably not restful and healthful and have taken a toll on your immune system.
People will find themselves lethargic and the body will start to show a sign of discomfort after the Chinese New Year binge. In TCM, we known it as “heaty” , “heatiness” or having excessive internal heat in the body. Consumption of herbal tea is one of the ways to get rid of the “heatiness” from the feast.
